TxC 2.4 BODS ready ✓ Validated

What Lineflow does

Everything a small operator needs — nothing they don't

Purpose-built for small operators. Plain English, no jargon, no training required.

🗺

Visual route mapping

Draw your route directly on a map. Stops snap using NaPTAN data for all UK stops with road-following geometry.

🕐

Timetable builder

Add journeys, set timing points, handle bank holidays and school term variations — guided step by step.

🚌

Scheduled mileages

Mileage worked out from your actual mapped routes, including dead mileage — no more measuring by hand.

📋

Duties & TMF export

Build driver duties from your journeys and export several at once into a single TMF file.

🚏

Stop analysis

See every departure from a single stop across all your services — ideal for roadside timetables.

📅

Calendar & serviced organisations

Bank holidays and school terms defined once, then reused across every service you run.

✓

BODS validation

Built-in checks against the BODS PTI profile catch errors before you publish — not after.

📤

TransXChange export

Export a valid TransXChange 2.4 XML file ready to upload to the Bus Open Data Service.

📂

Import existing files

Already have a TxC file? Import it, tidy up the data, add map geometry and re-export.

New bank holiday profile

🚫

Add block date

Dates when no services run. For a single day, leave the end date blank.

🏫 Serviced organisation

Define the term and holiday dates for a school, college or other organisation. These dates will be embedded in your TransXChange export and referenced by individual journeys.

Full name of the school or organisation
DfE number for schools, or your own reference code
Term dates
Add each term as a date range. Journeys set to Term time only will operate on these dates. All other dates (including bank holidays) are automatically treated as non-operating.
💡 For schools, the DfE number is the organisation code. Find it at get-information-schools.service.gov.uk.

Add multiple stops

Paste a list of stops, one per line. You can include ATCO codes separated by a comma — e.g. Thetford Bus Station, 2900N12345

You can add ATCO codes later if you don't have them to hand.

⚡ Auto-generate journeys

Add journeys at a regular interval between two times. Times are auto-filled using your run times (set above the timetable), or 3 min per stop if not set.

e.g. 07:30
Last journey to add
e.g. 60 = hourly, 30 = every half hour

⚠ Delete service

All data will be permanently removed — stops, routes, timetable and journey data cannot be recovered.

We recommend downloading your XML file before deleting, otherwise all data will need to be re-entered from scratch.
